Hares - Hopeless, Hashzilla

Despite Hopeless's requests for "booking in" for Kamikaze's send off to Abu Dhabi (19 of which obliged), a larger than usual pack of 44 runners turned up at the Hopewell Centre. Some notable returnees (or retirees!) included Harty, Knickers, Swimsuit and Sugar Boy. Meanwhile Hopeless was frantically trying to contact the man of honour who was "just sending off the truck from the house in DB". Then "on ferry, dumping family at the hotel in HUNG HOM!". So the pack was sent off without him at 19:10.

The run went straight up the steps to Kennedy Road, check over to the petrol station at the bottom of Bowen Drive, check back down to Pacific Place 3, back up Justice Drive, and then a tricky series of checks and checkbacks in amongst the shrubbery around Mother's Choice. The runners finally emerged at the top of Borret Road, and onto Bowen Road. 3-way check ended up back towards Bowen Drive, with another check back going up the long flight of steps used two weeks ago. But this time instead of the ball-busting trip over the top of The Peak, Hopeless set a shorter run along the shiggy trail above Bowen, which ended up at Wanchai Gap.

The Wimps simply headed straight down Wanchai Gap Road for a 50-60 minute run, while the Rambos split off to loop along Bowen, down Shui Fei terrace, onto Stubbs Road, then a nice smoggy sprint back into the Hopewell Centre in a leisurely 70 minutes or so. A perfectly marked run of the right length to cater for the heat and humidity, and the oldies who had turned out!

Kamikaze finally turned up at 20:45 in time to pick up a beer, two T-shirts made for him for the day, with the rest of the pack sporting the yellow or "pastel blue" variants as we all trooped off to Jo Jo's Mess for a surprisingly unmessy curry. 37 people at the restaurant, haven't seen that for a while.

FFM - recognising Any Fanny'll do by his naked butt cheeks!

Hashzilla - cannot spell "Kamikaze" - see T-shirt.

Non-runners - Barbie, Britney, Bordello Butt

Visitor - Hamish - agreed to come with Tao so he could be taken around the bars.

Strap On Sally - buying second hand batteries.

Randy Van Fokker - has a "pump action" torch that recharges the batteries when massaged!

FFM & Strap On Sally - shopping on the hash - between the bins and Jo Jo's.

Chatroom Paedophile - taking sun screen and lip-gloss on the run.

Bobbledick - the world's last surviving 286 PC in need of a new motherboard.

Kamikaze - refusing Hashzilla's "last chance offer to come back to DB with me".

Motormouth - almost killed by a Merc driver on the way to food.

Bordello Butt - wife already texting him in the curry house to see if he was in Fenwick's yet.

Kamikaze - absconding from Hash Cash duties after only 3 months in the job.

Kamikaze - disappearing off to Abu Dhabi to avoid the responsibility of being Hash Cash, see back of T-shirt.

Quiche - negotiating his beer bill in Hindi with the restaurant manger.
