Sai Kung Hare - Indyanus Hashers - Andy, Lost in Translation, Sticky Sex Toy, Octopussy, Indyanus, Castrato, Lubricated Mud, Kacy, Hopeless, Freebee, Ting, Veronica, Wai Chee Kok, Cute Boar Butt Write-up - Castrato What a superb run. Though let's step back a bit to the beginning. Plod's Pagoda. Plod's Pagoda? Probably makes sense to the more mature hasher but less so to the bright young things that gathered at the start. A moment of hesitation and then off under the neon archway and into the night. A little this and that in the town and then up the hillside through mountain villages and barking dogs. Up to a lovely stream running down a culvert which I tried to climb up only realizing belatedly that of course the path went a completely different way. Further up into alternating shiggy and villages getting more and more remote. Up along beside a catchwater and further up until we reached an old abandoned village with a beautiful ancient stone path. The stone path was only beautiful for so long though and then we were off into the true shiggyfest. Very difficult going, alternately climbing along steep paths and then down streams. Who knows how Indy managed to set it with only one and half eyes? As she said, "If I can do it you can do it." Finally off back down onto a village road, avoiding a checkback, left around the hillside and down through villages onto the main road. From the main road it was plain sailing for most of us. Not for me because I thought we were going back to Sai Kung. However having been rescued by a fellow hasher it was off down behind the main road and then on it and into Hebe Haven for a slap up meal with lashings of ginger beer. Hopeless opens up the circle: Hare - Indy: Well done, great trail Hare - Indy: Thanks for the great homemade biscuits but we know it was your helper that made them as they are delicious Octo - Welcome back & we are glad you escaped the bomb Octo - Thanks for your Israelian goodies too Castrato - Welcome back & apparently not full-bred English as half French - who would have guessed? - Moi.
