Indy’s juggling of her 700th run…

Enticed with a 700th run celebration, a few of us showed up at Plod's Pagoda all the way in Sai Kung, only to be told by the hare that it wasn't quite the big 700 round number. It was, however, her 699th run which in many ways is funnier and more appropriate for a celebration!

Given the far-away run meeting point, the hare decreed a run start of 7:10pm. However when I got there promptly at 7:10pm a few runners had already taken off. Octopussy, Freebie and Lubricated Mud set off shortly after the hare's instructions but Freebie came back 2 minutes later forgetting her headlamp.

I was finally ready at 7:25pm so it was catch-up mode for me. Along the waterfront past the seafood restaurants to a Checkback that wasn't marked off at the roundabout. Trail goes through the village along the waterfront, towards the Nord Angelica school.

Another checkback where I faffed around trying to find trail, until I heard Lubricated Mud and Freebie jogging up behind me. I was perplexed as I thought they had set off before I did, but sometimes the mysteries of the hash is best left mysterious.

Trail took us up to St Peter's Village and through other small villages, then the Rambos / Wimps split where the Rambos went along on the trails before joining the road next to the yacht club. It was a pleasant run along the road and back home to B, at Hebe Haven Yacht Club where ice-cold soda water and some dubious variation of Carlsberg beer were waiting for the runners.
