Write-up - Hopeless

Earlier in the day a Kowloon H3 guy sent me photos of LSW markings "near" Ocean Park MTR. The hare also mistakenly mentioned to ignore "K arrows" on trail.... Kowloon H3 markings from a run on the 8th April. So two clues as to where trail was going (to end up). The fact the hare lives in Happy Valley was the trifaca for where we'd finish!

Good turnout, including "Animal" from Tokyo H3, and a few latecomers like Toilet Boy who benefitted from the hare and Indyanus catching a taxi with the bags at 15 minutes past the start time.

Trail went over the road, first Check stayed on the main road before the inevitable turn left and up towards Shouson Hill and the split at Pak Villa. Wimps staying on the road (not sure anyone did the Wimps?), the rest heading for the shiggy up and over, back to the Deep Water Bay Road junction and the rejoin. The shiggy was steep, used by LSWH3 a few times before, CBB hanging back as sticky webs were all over the trail. We topped out at a wall she could hardly climb over and onto the Trig Point. Steep downhill, ropes, slipping.... but out we popped, no damage.

Onto Nam Fung Road junction and an Open check with only 6 ways to check out..... Toilet Boy found standing scratching his head as to what to do. Finally, chalk, going up the road, and then right onto the catchwater and back up to the road and onto Sir Cecil's Ride for a stretch of the legs behind HKCC and down the steep narrow steps to the top of Happy Valley and On Home to steps opposite the Cooked food Centre.

Nice trail, well marked and enjoyed by all almost exactly at the advertised 6.5km and just over the hour.

Animal - HK city’s terrain makes it an awesome 😎 place to run in!
Freebie - run was great lah!… although I got a hole in my leggings!
Toilet 🚽 Boy - liked where the run turned and turned and turned!

Indy > CBB… unfortunately had to pull out of setting the May 1 Public Holiday Run because of.... arachnophobia… fear of those pesky spiders.. with no co-hare to swipe them away…

Castrato - although just recently returned to HK.. stepped up to the plate to set the May 1 run! Thanks!!
