University, Ma Lui Shui Pier Joint run with N²TH³ and Full Moon Hash Hare - Golden Jelly LSW Hashers - Lost In Space, Gobi Lo, Octopussy, Foot Fetish, Castrato, Lubricated Mud, JV, Hopeless, Nick, Freebie, Pipe Rider, Macau Drunk N²TH³, Full Moon, LH⁴ - Lap Sap Gow, Prince of Darkness, DRAM, Mango Groove, Geriatric, Golden Balls, Golden Jelly, Chihuahua Jackson, Yeast Affection, Muck Diver, Liberace, Lotus, Nitro Gorman, Suffragette, Imbliblio, Bunter, Radio One, Tara Write-up - Castrato An unusual location for the LSW and one many of us have never hashed before. So good on the Full Moon and NNT for getting us out there. Starting from the Ma Liu Shui pier, along the sea front past lots of expensive looking bars and restaurants. So clean! So tidy! Is this really Hong Kong? Certainly it's not the Hong Kong we frequent. At the end of the promenade left up a series of old steps until the top, then up over the hill and then down down down. The parks on the way down really charming; little creeks, Japanese style water features, gardens and bridges. The Chung Chi College Staff Club Clubhouse looked wonderful – a glass box overlooking a stream. From there through more gardens, round the stadium and back to the MTR and the pier. A few pics from the route - here, here, here and here The circle was well prepared by the hares with lashings of ginger beer. OK beer. And whisky from the NNT. And softies. Perhaps too much beer for some of the LSWs who splintered off and went to get food leaving Castrato, Hopeless, Octo, Lost in Space and Macau Drunk to hold up the side. There were some excellent and memorable down downs by Hopeless, followed by some lesser down downs from the other hashes. It appears that the first law of hashing is never to follow Liberace. Liberace? Two Macau Drunks and now two Liberaces? It is all a bit shocking to those of a sensitive disposition. But with that bombshell it was off into the night and back home. 8.7km
