North Point Hares - AFWD, Cute Boar Butt Hashers - Slut Entrails, Duty Free, Ben, Comes Up the Rear, Kim KardaXXXian, daniel, Lost In Space, Gobi Lo, Octopussy, Indyanus, Joseph, JV, Laslo, Nick, Freebie, Pipe Rider, Any Fanny'll Do, Cute Boar Butt Write-up - Gobi Lo Any Fanny Will Do and Cute Boar Butt hared run #2492, starting from AFWD's preferred location - North Point. A sizable pack turned up for the run despite the incessant rain all week and even on the morning of! Trail took the runners through the small streets and back alleyways of North Point (I was mislead going up a long flight of steps at a check, as I was distracted by cute little red frogs!), before the infamous long, never-ending flight of steps up to Cloud View Road. A turn-off through the broken-glass-strewn trail terrain was fun and exactly what AFWD warned us about, before the trail took us out to the road next to the Chinese International School. Up to the trails of Braemar Hill where I spotted a Masked Palm Civet up on a tree grooming its face. Apparently Cute Boar Butt lived up to her name and also spotted five cute baby boats crossing the trail around this area while setting the run. The recent rainstorms meant the streams were full, and the sound of gushing water so loud that virgin hasher Lazaro did not hear JV calling "trail"! As a result he got so lost he took an extra 20 mins to get back to the run start. Just goes to show that not only do we have to keep our eyes peeling for flour markings, we have to keep our ears open too! I caught up with Duty Free just before getting back on Cloud View Rd, who was actually walking the trail. I asked him why he was taking his time and he replied that he was "enjoying the trails". Good thing he started running with me when I picked up the pace, and we had a lovely chat. I found out that he only had one pumpkin soup all day so he was ready to devour cans of beer to re-fuel right after the run! Back to the run start with many of us enjoying ice cold soda water and Tsing Tao (with not a single carlsberg to be seen). Thank you hares for a lovely run! Hopeless / Lost In Translation - picked up an extra LSW run attendance at LSW Reunion… worth the flight ✈️ !!?? 😂 Thermal D@ck - designed own shirt for the Welsh run… the Reunion was in ‘Whales’ ? The 2492 hares - Any Fanny’ll Do / Cute Boar 🐗 Butt…. Great ‘keep it simple run!! Markings and ‘steps’ kept the hashers well together !! Yeh !! Freebie - ‘like stairway to heaven’ with all those steps… AFWD / CBB - laid trail together / zero reccies together… but AFWD and Daniel did a few… 👏 CBB - responsible for choosing trail to go up so many stairs! CBB - saw 6 cute 🐗 boars on the trail ! Virgin - Ben… welcome!! Pipe Rider (with her small dog 🐕) met Ben (with his dog 🐶 ) at the promenade dog park that afternoon / started chatting and she invited him to LSW hash that night!! PR - what an original way to chat someone up !! Ben - does come from hash stock, his father is a hasher in New Zealand… but only hashed as a ‘horror’… ‘So Ben! What did you think of your 1st LSW run??? - ‘ Loved it!! Will be back!! Great stream crossings’ CBB - wearing such a pretty yellow dress 😀 LIS - being great secretary 👨💼 taking hash notes!
