Happy Valley Hare - Gobi Lo Hashers - Discover Her Bay, Comes Up the Rear, Cora, Kim KardaXXXian, Lost In Space, Gobi Lo, Ding, Sticky Sex Toy, Octopussy, Pole Dancer, Teabagger, Indyanus, Jamie, Foot Fetish, Joseph, JV, Lubricated Mud, Screwtop, Hopeless, Clean My Bush, Freebie, Pipe Rider, Torched Testicles, Toilet Boy, Ryan, Cute Boar Butt Write-up - Octo Gobi Lo's last run starting from Happy Valley before she leaves HK for the next 5 months There were a few newbies and a surprise one day visit times perfectly to coincide with LSW by Teabagger and Torched Testicles with their two little ones who had already been to hashes around the world and one was ready to start haring showing us what markings he used with chalk on the ground. Gobi Lo was there with a mask on as she’d contracted Covid but still set the run without a reccie. There would be only one trail and some elevation but if she could do it with Covid we could all do it. We set off up Blue Pool Road at light speed I was quite shocked how everybody was running up the hill without stopping. Toilet Boy who forgot his poles this time and was dressed like a normal hasher without layers of long sleeved clothes was just behind me and quite offended that anybody would hand him a piece of chalk…. but then when we reached the first check he was so excited to mark it that at the next check he marked on top of my marking just so he could use the chalk! Great training for future FRB status! The trail went up past the French International School where Indy was somehow hiding but we had no idea and ran past. Up the road and into the trail past the WWII ruins where the HK army surrendered to the Japanese. Onto shiggy that went up and up and up onto Mount Nicholson. That’s where I was running next to Kim K who was trying to tell me what succulent weather meant. We were having a bit of a debate over the interpretation of the word while bashing up and up the shiggy trail when a super slim Lost in Space hiked past and we both had to ask what is his secret to his superb transformation which was low carb, fasting and hashing but no need to cut out all beer thankfully! Then on the way up saw newbies Ding Ding and Ryan who were powering up carefully after using all their reserves running all the way up Blue Pool Road and the stairs by the French International School. When they reached the road they could not imagine there would be still be such an epic climb up to Mount Nicholson so they were taking their time and wondering would it ever end. But thankfully they reached the top with a few others in tow and we could let them know what mountain they were on and take selfies to commemorate the achievement. The way down was on some steps with sticky outy metal things what were destroying Octo’s shoes then the trail hit Blacks Links and we all went right except Nick who somehow turned left and kept running until somebody called him back. Kim K stayed behind to wait for Jamie. Foot Fetish and Octo ran down Blacks Link and with Octo’s local knowledge finding every trail without much difficulty as it went down the workmen steps and past the old paths exiting at Rosary School then down the green lane and back to the A. Apparently those behind missed the markings and ended up returning via Wanchai. But all were in good spirits and rated the trail very high for all the right reasons. Well done Gobi Lo! Virgins - Ryan.. straight out of Bali.. first day in HK.. Ryan / Ding - invited by JV.. both competitive frisbee 🥏 players ! Ding - what a trail! Challenged herself on this first-ever hash! Wanted to quit 3 times on Mt N but stayed with it! Hoping next time will be easier 😂 Nick - another frisbee 🥏 player.. what happened to the cricket players? Foot Fetish - making delicious ‘au revoir’ cake for Gobi Lo Indy to self - having started earlier thus all checking’.. had a ‘hidden breather’ at French IS… to espy the 2 Joseph’s.. JR and Jo leading the well - heeled pack up the steps and then Toilet 🚻 Boy and Lubricated Mud bringing up the rear but heading to the school and not the steps… was TB looking for a Toilet 🚽 break ? 😂 LIS > CBB - at the top of Mt N, JV wanted to stop to enjoy the view and the breeze… CBB would not let him! Octo > Toilet Boy… was given chalk to mark trail.. Why?.. so he could excitedly decorate one of the ⭕️ markings! Gobi Lo Stats - Hash naming of Nick - Octo suggests something to do with ‘bush’… Lost In Space - thanks for being hash secretary ! Gobi Lo - thanks for fab trail and fun bash..
