Write-up - Clean My Bush

Another Anzac Day run returns to Kellet Island. Hare was extra thorough with instructions to accommodate several virgins in the group.

I was in a group of stragglers that set off a few minutes late. By the time we got to noon day gun, we had lost track or the group. True went over a footbridge towards Victoria Park, but we were misled by a decoy arrow past the bridge and didn’t see the check back. We got all the way to the fire station before realising our big mistake.

As we meandered through the back streets of So Kon Po, we saw a random runner making erratic crossings, but didn’t seem to be following trail markings. Later turns out he was a virgin that Mara invited (Mohamed). He missed the briefing so he was just chasing after Mara’s live gps tracker.

The shiggy up towards Jardine’s Lookout led to some fun obstacles and fences hops. A traffic jam at one fence brought most of the group back together.

We got some fantastic views of the horse racing while we blazed down the steep Boradwoos Road. Heading back towards causeway bay, we would be mistaken to think it was a straight shot to the harbourfront.

A checkback had us backtracking into an alleyway opposite the football club, it was a tiny detour to make sure we saw the entrance to the “ARP” Air Raid Precautions.

After crossing under Canal Road overpass, we thought surely there should be on-home markings, but the hare gave us more surprises through the wet market and around the wanchai promenade.

Back at A, we were of course treated to Indy’s Anzac cookies and tim tams.

(Didn’t stay for bash, so hopefully someone else wrote DDs)
