Write-up - Sticky Sex Toy

Last Wednesday, the LSW run was set by our seasoned hare, Hopeless on Park Island—an unusual spot, and believe it or not, it’s been years since the last one! There was some light-hearted debate between Gobi Lo and Octo about when that was, but no one could nail down the exact year.
The run was supposed to be about 6 KM, but it felt like we were tackling a marathon. I forgot my “high-tech” Garmin watch, so I had no way to measure the actual distance. Honestly, I think the two rock-hopping sections along the coast added at least a few extra kilometers. Who knew a run could turn into an obstacle course? We also passed through a local cemetery, which was an expected element for a Hopeless run according to secret intelligence. Instead of sprinting up and down the stairs like in previous runs, we had to navigate a labyrinth of graves. I felt a bit guilty every time I shouted “trail!” - like I was disturbing the peaceful ambiance of a spiritual place. It was a little eerie, to say the least.
On top of that, there was a lot of walking and climbing next to a wire fence. Maybe that’s why the run felt so long—my legs were definitely feeling it! At one point, I wondered if I should’ve packed climbing gear instead of my running shoes.
But the highlight of the day? The chilled watermelon prepared by Cute Bore Butt. Seriously, it was a lifesaver! Perfectly refreshing after a summer run like this. I think I may have single-handedly demolished half the watermelon supply, but can you blame me? It was that good!
It was a fantastic summer run filled with laughter and good vibes. Well, on a different note, please join my annual birthday run next week! Sadly, my loyal comrade will be absent this year, and I will be the sole hare. But you will be rewarded with stunning views and a nice work out and, most importantly, I promise there will be no graveyards this time!
